Concert series

Our concert series will include performances by musicians from the United States, Canada and the Baltic Nations.

We are proud to announce that one of our main stage groups is the highly acclaimed Vilnius City Municipality St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra (artistic director and conductor Donatas Katkus), widely known for its universality, professionalism, and artistic imagination not only in Lithuania but also abroad. The North American Latvian Quartet, Ilona Kudina on flute, Silvia Padegs Grendze on violin, Andra Voldins Dix on viola, and George Juris Ķeniņš on violoncello, will perform at the opening ceremony in addition to internationally acclaimed Estonian pianist Hando Nahkur.

Inspiring leaders and thinkers from the three Baltic nations will share their experiences on what is currently happening in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania and talk about what we can expect to see develop in the coming years.

Our Christmas Marketplace will showcase goods and crafts from all three Baltic countries and will provide early Christmas shopping with a unique northern European flair!

Art exhibit

The Art Exhibit will showcase Modern Artwork by current artists from all three Baltic countries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

A historic art exhibit will also display our ethnic treasures expressing each of our Baltic cultural identities using paintings, metal, wood, pottery, glass, fabric, and fiber.

A traveling folk art exhibit of hundreds of "Latvian Mittens" from the Latvian Ethnographic Museum will showcase traditional knitting patterns. Likewise knitted Estonian lace will be on display and the techniques will be demonstrated.


Film festival

The Baltic Film Festival, a first in Boston, will present three days of the latest awardwinning films from Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian directors. Feature films and documentaries will be available for viewing at nearby Emerson College's Paramount Theater.

Traveling exhibit

The Estonian Republic 100 Exhibition will travel to Boston and will be on display at the Rose Kennedy Greenway in November and December 2018. The installation, designed by the architectural firm KOKO will display an overview of Estonian history, culture, and people during the last 100 years. Boston will be its last stop as it travels through North America and the EU in 2018.

Latvian Mittens, Traveling Exhibition

A suitcase with 45 pairs of Latvian Mittens from the Latvian folk art museum collection of the American Latvian Association has been travelling across the United States to US Latvian centers and arrives in Boston for the Baltic Centennial. This traveling exhibit is presented as part of the celebration of the Republic of Latvia’s 100 th anniversary .
